Smoking bans in housing corporations

A housing corporation or building owner can apply for a smoking ban for indoor spaces or balconies of their building. Pirteva is the authority handling applications in Pirkkala, Hämeenkyrö, Lempäälä, Nokia, Vesilahti, and Ylöjärvi. 

The application must include

• proof of a decision made at a shareholder meeting proving that the applicant has the right to apply for a smoking ban
• an explanation or drawing of the areas where the ban would apply
• an account of the structural possibility of smoke traveling from one area to another
• an account of how the applicant has heard from the occupants before applyig for the smoking ban

A handling fee applies to each application.
